Made this for a large gathering and it was a hit. Will definitely make again. I couldn't toast the almonds, but I added them. I also added walnuts because I happened to have toasted walnuts on hand. I added crumbled blue cheese too which I personally love on salads and it blended very well. I didn't really measure the dressing ingredients, just guestimated them which proves its very forgiving. I had to substitute Red wine vinegar for the Apple Cider vinegar, but it was still great. Plus you get all the apple taste you need from the apple concentrate.

What an amazing salad!!! So much flavor and crunch! I made it to accompany a turkey dinner and it turned out to be the hit of the night. The recipe made three times more dressing than I needed so I sent the extra home with my guests and they were thrilled. Great salad, thank you so much for this recipe! It will be a staple around my home not only at Thanksgiving and Christmas but year yound.

I used this recipe for a charity dinner back in December for about 250 people. Everyone had a fit over it and wanted the recipe. I did add a bit of honey to my recipe, but the all over recipe was great!

I loved this salad! Loved the dried cranberries. I found it a bit much dressing and didn't use all of it. But, I will make it again & again!

Excellent recipe and dressing! I did find that you can add much more lettuce or greens or cut back on the parm. cheese. This has already been passed around the family. Thanks!!

Very good tasting and makes a great presentation in a glass bowl. For a different variation, I added thin slices of red onion and crumbled bacon. Instead of using the shredded parmesan I substituted a five cheese Italian blend. Very yummy! I also didn't have fresh cranberries for the dressing so I substitued a partial can of whole cranberry sauce. Still turned out great! As other reviewers have stated, you will have way more than enough dressing.

Delicious!! I tested this today to see if I should serve for Christmas and I definitely will. Very pretty and festive looking. The dressing is wonderful...kind of tart, sweet, & savory all at the same time. I added pieces of roasted chicken which made it even better. This is a keeper!

This salad was very tasty, with a complex blend of flavors and beautiful color. I am enjoying the leftovers today. :) Because I was taking this to a large family get-together I doubled the salad ingredients. However, I made the dressing without doubling those ingredients and it was still WAY more than enough dressing. Unless you like your lettuce doing the back stroke in the dressing or you just want leftover dressing for later you could probably cut the dressing ingredients in half and still have plenty.

Very good. A hit at every party I take it to. It's nice to bring something to a party that isn't a dessert since they're so popular to bring. This dish is also special.

The dressing is awesome... I had it in a recycled bottle and had to convince a few people to try it (strange color for dressing), but they were glad they did and several people asked me for the recipe. Can't wait to make it again! Forgot to mention an important piece, I used fresh strawberries for the dressing instead of the cranberries, liked it so much I probably will stick to that.

I altered this recipe, but I'm giving it 5 stars for the dressing which was awesome. I followed the salad part of the recipe except I didn't add parmasean cheese but added gorganzola cheese instead. I also added mandrin oranges. I didn't add the almonds but made my own spiced pecans and added those. This salad was so yummy after my alterations and the dressing was great too. I served this at Christmas dinner and everone loved it.

This was a huge hit at a Christmas Dinner party I held. I made one minor change and used toasted pecans instead of almonds, because I happen to like pecans better. I have to warn you - the dressing is a red/pink color, and while it's delicious and quite festive, it can be a bit of a surprise! I would definitely recommend this one!

This is my absoulte favorite salad recipe. I make it every thanksgiving and Christmas, and it is always met with rave reviews. From time to time I will "shake things up a bit" and use different nuts-toasted pecans are very good. Otherwise I don't change a thing! Try adding leftover turkey and crumbled feta or blue cheese for a meal. YUM!
