I used double the vanilla for a friend who doesnt like anise, turned out good. Definately needs longer cooking time though

Great recipe, my husband can't get enough. I found that I have to bake the dough a lot longer than recommended. I bake it for an hour for the first baking, then ten minutes on each side at 350 degrees once the cookies have been cut. This provides for a lot crispier biscotti, perfect for hot chocolate.
