Wow!!! this was the best meatloaf we've ever had. Although now mom's is a close second.... Sorry mom! I did "tweak" it a little bit. I added more onion than what was called for. And put added liquid smoke to the meat mixture. Since I didn't have sage I added poultry seasonong to the mixture also. As for the topping I added "Tastefully Simple's" Merlot Sauce. OMG!!! Like I said this was the BEST!

This really was "Melt-In-Your-Mouth" tender! The only problem I had was cutting the meatloaf and serving it on a plate without it falling apart. A bit sweet but I liked it. Served with "The Best Mashed Potatoes" and broccoli.

We loved this meatloaf! I like to make it on Sundays because our church lets out at 4 and to come home to most of dinner already made and smelling good is just heavenly! This meatloaf is moist and holds together well. I will never go back to using the oven. Thanks Suzanne!

This was pretty good. I liked the way it held together and I liked the topping. The sage was a little different. I've been looking for just the right meat loaf recipe for my family and this was close, but not quite it. If you haven't tried this recipe, it is definitely worth trying. It's just not exactly the one for me.

This is by far the best meatloaf recipe I have tried. My son is not much of a fan of meatloaf, but tonight he had 3 pieces. I'm never using another meatloaf recipe.

This is now the ONLY meatloaf recipe my family will eat. Changed nothing except adding onions (they don't like them). I'd recommend this to anyone. I got both the four year old and picky twelve year old to eat it! We had some exceptionally lean (dry) meat we needed to eat and this came out wonderfully moist and flavorful. Thanks Suzanne!

I was disappointed in the flavor. I will try it again and add some seasonings and maybe bake it in the oven. The crockpot was a convenient way to cook it though and I added baby red potatoes and a bag of carrots. My favorite meatloaf recipe is Easy Meatloaf on this site.

Very simple, pretty good but will add the onion soup mix next time. Put the crock pot on a 10 hour setting so might add more milk b/c it was a little dry. Will make again.

I am sorry to say that this was such a let down. I really looked forward to making this because of the review it got, but it was absolutely the worst meatloaf we have ever had. The glaze was so sweet we all wiped it off of the meat, & the meat itself had zero flavor. I hate being negative, especially when someone else was so positive about the recipe. Sorry....it was just awful!

This is a really great meatloaf recipe. My oven wasn't working, so I was really excited to find the recipe here. I used ground turkey instead of beef, since that's what I had, and everyone from ages 38 to 2 loved it. Great with mashed potatoes and cornbread.

Like others have said in reviews before me, I will most likely never go back to making meatloaf in the oven again. It was fabulously moist, tasty, and super easy. I got it going before I left for work, and it was ready for my husband to devour and enjoy when he got home from his job. Thanks Suzanne! I can't wait to make it again...oh, and I doubled the ingredients so that there would be plenty for sandwiches :)

I couldn't imagine making meatloaf in a slow cooker but this recipe is easy & wonderful and my fussy husband actually loves it! Leftovers make great sandwiches for his lunchbox!

Hello Suz, thanks for the recipe that made my husband take three slices!!! He is a meat loaf lover and after 52 years of marriage I have been looking the entire time for the very BEST meatloaf receipe!! I think you did it for me. He will be enjoying his special sandwiches for lunch tomorrow and probably a little sneak piece before bedtime. Thanks so much. (I did cook ours in the oven 365 Degrees for 90 min. on a rack with tinfoil under it.) Made for much easier clean up. Bev

I have been making this exact recipe for a lot of years now and wouldn't even think of making any other meatloaf. We love it. It is always so moist. I did make one change though. I put the catchup, brown sugar mixture on when I put the meatloaf in the slow cooker and it comes out fine.

Great recipe...I cut down on the brown sugar (we like things less sweet)and added cut up carrots and potatoes around the sides of the meatloaf...I also used onion soup mix instead of minced onions...a whole meal in the slow cooker!!

great recipe. i did as suggested and used onion soup mix instead of minced onions, and for the glaze i used a small can of ocean spray jellied cranberry sauce mixed together with 4 oz. of sweet baby ray barbeque sauce. Try it, you'll like it.

we both enjoyed this meat loaf. Loved the ketchup topping. All the flavors ......yum. This was great for leftover meatloaf sandwiches. Mixed up some more of the ketchup to use on the sandwiches.
