I just used regular skewers that we already had, and soaked them in Jack Daniels (for my fiance)... they came out okay. I tried this with a regular pan on the stove and would not recommend that method at all. Unless you cut everything the exact same size, they will not cook evenly. Especially if you try chicken, like I did. The beef ones came out much better, but still not great. I guess I'll wait to try it again when we have a grill this summer!

This recipe gave me good foundation for a tasty and easy dinner. I didn't find the 'seasoned' skewers but I had regular wooden skewers that I used and I did soak them in white wine for 30 minutes. Also I did still use the red onion and white button mushrooms and beef tips. I marinated the bef tips in olive oil a little more white wine and some greek seasoning blend. Skewers were beef tip-mushroom-onion tip - mushroom - onion - tip this gave everyone at dinner three skewers each and three bites of steak on each skewer. 1LB of beef tips, one onion, and one container of mushrooms nicely feed three hungry people! This would be good with about any combination of meast and veggies and I loved the tip to soak the skewers in the wine. Thanks for good inspiration! By the way, I was out of charcoal so I used my grill pan on the stove. And dinner was on the table in minutes.
