With meat, potatoes and other vegetables, this rich-tasting soup is really a meal in one. Process cheese sauce makes it taste like a cheeseburger. I serve this soup with a nice crusty loaf of French bread. - Ione Sander, Carlton, Minnesota

I like making homemade noodles and I often add carrots, potatoes and corn to this soup. To me, homemade soup means homemade bread, too! Rich soup and fresh bread...what great country food at any time of year.

This soup is a variation of the wonderful Greek avgolemono soup. Using ready-made meatballs makes it a quick and easy supper dish, but it doesn't shortcut the hearty soup's delicious flavor.

MY daughter-in-law, a gourmet cook, served this soup as the first course for Thanksgiving dinner. She'd gotten the recipe from her mom and graciously shared it with me. Now I'm happy to pass it along to Reminisce readers. -Anne Kulick, Phillipsburg, New Jersey
