These are so easy! I remember my mother making these years ago, but hers seemed to have more tang from the mayo. I may increase it next time to recreate her results. I will use this recipe repeatedly. Thanks!

Quick, easy and delicious. Be sure to blend together the mayo and the milk before adding to the self-rising flour to avoid having to overmix the dough. That way, it comes together quickly. Drop nice, equal but generous amounts of dough! Very good. Thanks!

I made these because I was out of a lot of ingredients but still wanted something to go with dinner...WOW. These are rich and moist and unlike any other kind of biscuit I've ever had. Certainly more of a roll...my family is calling is a "Riscuit" (Risk It) and it was certainly worth the risk of trying! I'll be making these at least once a week from now on...

Easy, fast and fantastically moist! I added a handful of Mexican shredded cheese and some garlic powder and they were very similar to the ones from a famous pricey seafood restaurant chain. Thanks for the recipe!

Too salty for me, next time I'll cut back on the salt, but these are tasty for sure. I used light Miracle Whip and added some garlic because I wanted garlic biscuits with dinner (but was out of both butter AND shortening!). This recipe sure was a lifesaver :-) Thanks!

I made these with spoonfuls on the cookie sheet. I didn't like the appearance, so I am going to try the muffin cup idea to see what happens. They tasted great and I am going to give my newlywed son the recipe so they can enjoy them for breakfast! He can cook these because they are so simple!

I made half the quantity because at first I was skeptical. But after taking the first bite, I fell in love with it. Delicious!

These were quite good and very easy. I only had garlic mayonnaise on hand, so they had a very subtle hint of garlicy-ness. Next time I'll make them with normal mayonnaise and see if it makes a difference.

Wow, that was easy. Its the middle of the night and I wanted biscuits to have with my brisket & gravy that I had made earlier and put away. Wanted an easy recipe, and this could not be easier...I had to take the gravy out and dip one of the biscuits. Will definitely make this again. (I used fat free mayonnaise)

These were nice for a quick and easy biscuit. I went ahead and used other reviewer tips for making my own self-rising flour since I had none on hand by removing 4 tsp of flour for the 2 cups of flour and using 3 tsp baking powder and 1 tsp salt - though they were a bit salty for my taste. Next time I'll cut the salt a little bit. These are not a dense biscuit but they are easy and accompany a meal well.

my mother whose got deeeeep southern roots was very inpressed that i made biscuits for one, (i always wait for her to do that job)and everyone loves her biscuits. then as she was chewing up her first bite and shaking her head in approval i told her they had mayo in them. she has always put mayo in her homemade hushpuppies. but said she had never seen a bicuit recipe with it. she was pleased. thanks for the recipe that allowed me to wow my 76 year old southern mama.

Great recipe. I made them as written first and they were good. Then I tried them using whole wheat flour. I added 4 tsp of baking powder and 1/2 tsp of salt to each cup of flour. They were still nice and light. Thanks for the idea.

What a wonderful recipe! So easy and quick to make. I made these this morning but I didn't have self-rising flour, so I used the substitute suggested by Evelyn in KC (2 cups less 4 tsp sifted flour, 3 tsp baking powder, and 1 tsp salt), and it worked like a charm. The only thing I would probably recommend is using a scant teaspoon of salt, otherwise, these are very tasty little biscuits. UPDATE: For a milder taste, try substituting sour cream for the mayo. Also works well.
