You can't really taste the spices at all. It may be better if you add the spices after the microwaving or double the amount.

I didn't follow the directions! I just melted everything except the cereal together in a double boiler on the stove top, then stirred that mixture into the cereal. I used chipotle pepper powder instead of ancho chile powder. Great tasting sweet snack mix!

This is really very good. I added a little extra chili powder. My suggestion would be to taste the sauce before you pour it on the cereal and adjust seasoning accordingly, keeping in mind that you're spreading it over a huge bowl of cereal.
