Tasted great, but I didn't have near enough marshmellow mixture. Now I did double the recipe and my marshmellows were a bit melted together so that may have had something to do with it. Next time I will just do a single recipe and use fluffy marshmellows and see if that changes things. Can't believe I've never made these things before! I'm just trying to think of good snacks that hubby can take to work that aren't packed w/ preservatives so thanks!

Not to be over-dramatic, but I just made the best batch of Rice Krispie Treats that I've ever made in my 40 years! I followed the tips of the first reviewer and warmed everything slowly on the stove top. I also also added a couple teaspoons of milk to make it creamy. Simplicity never tasted so good!

I followed all the suggestions + made it a fruit loop krispies. They turned out delicious! I kept eating spoonfuls before they were even cooled! 1/2c butter, 1 bag (10.5oz) mini marshmallows, 5c rice krispies, 5c fruit loops, 2 1/2 tsp milk, splash of vanilla and I layed them on parchment paper in a 9x13. Fruit loops are perfect for making little designs with the colors while they're being cooled for special occasions. I used a small piece of parchment paper to press it flat with my knuckles. It works out perfect because nothing sticks!

Very good :) Melted butter in a sauce pan on about 3 heat setting... when that was done, added the marshmallows and set it at about 5 heat setting. Came out yummy :)

Followed this to a T. Perfect amount for a small family. Marshmallow Treats are best when fresh, and the larger recipes just get stale in our house!

I used one stick of salted butter, one bag of regular marshmallows and one 12oz box of rice krispies cereal. They turned out great and fit exactly in my 9x13 cake pan. This was the first time I've made these treats and they couldn't have been better.

Great basic recipe for krispy bars! You can add in anything you want, or change the cereal to chocolate or fruity krispies... This recipe in a 9x13 pan makes bars less than an inch thick. If you're wanting really thick bars, a 9x13 pan could easily hold a double recipe.
