I found the marinade/sauce to be too sweet. Next time I'd use half as much gingerale and substitute some broth for the liquid volume. Also, next time I'd add some fresh grated ginger and twice as much garlic to the marinade. I added 1 T. of olive oil to the marinade as well, since certain flavors (garlic, for instance) are carried to the meat better with fats than regular liquids.
