I used this for a moose roast and it turned out quite well. Like those before have said, it just falls apart. Next time I'll likely add some herbs and spice to kick it up a bit but overall it was quite good.

The first time I made this I didn't add enough liquid, so this time I used 2 cans of beef broth as per another users suggestion. I like to reserve the juices as an au jous type dip, and even my picky little 5 year old ate it. Will definetly keep in the recipe box.

Great recipe, except I never use salt when I use onion soup mix. It makes the roast too salty.

I liked this recipe. I also added beef bouillon and the Montreal steak seasoning. I also added mushrooms and it made a super gravy with the juice. Yummy and tender.

Wonderful recipe! I always seem to have trouble with my roasts; they are not as moist as I'd like them to be. After cooking this in the slow cooker for 8 hours the meat was falling off the bone. I took other reviewer's advice and used beef broth in place of water. I also seasoned with Montreal Steak Seasoning. I will definitely use this recipe again.

I made this exactly like the recipe and thought it was ok. Just didn't have enough flavor for me. It was nice coming home from work though and having dinner ready. Probably wouldn't make again or would change it like other reviewers.

Delicious and so easy! I had planned on a different vegetable for dinner, so I left the carrots out of the recipe and added mushrooms. Since I did not have onion soup mix I substituted beefy onion soup mix. Absolutely the best I've had in a long time!

This was SO easy to make! Since I'm a bit too busy to brown meat in the morning, I didn't do that and it turned out just as good! My husband and son both love it!

This recipe had wonderful flavor and was so yummy! The only thing I did different was to add a beef bouillon cube to the water before adding it to the pot. Then I made gravy from all the juice.....very good! Will make again for sure!
