I don't know if it was the meat I used, but this came out tough. The flavor was pretty good, tho.

Yummy--me, my husband, and 2 year old all loved it! So easy, important to really slice the meat thinly. Also did as others suggested----cooked veggies first, set aside, then meat, set aside, then sauce including 1T cornstarch mixed with some water and added everything back to pan to heat and coat.

"Maria's Pepper Steak" I LOVE YOU MARIA!! I love this recipe! The perfect balance between sweet and salt. The consistency of flank steak is perfect for it. I've made it several times and everybody always enjoy it.

This was pretty good. I had a lot of beef to fry up so I doubled the recipe. It made a lot of sauce which was nice because I served it over rice. My husband thought it was a nice change for dinner.

YUM! I used flank steak and cut the red wine vinegar a bit and added more soy sauce. I thickened the sauce with corn starch and served over white rice. Excellent flavor. Thanks.....

If you just read my review, forget about the sugar comment! Got it mixed up with a different recipe! The rest of the comment was correct. Very tasty.Followed some other's suggestions such as: Used sesame oil used frozen oriental veggies. Also added a bit of corn starch and water to thicken sauce.

Great recipe! My family enjoyed it. The flavor was so good, almost tasted like our favorite Chinese take-out, but I did it myself! Thanks for sharing.

Really good pepper steak and the sauce was quite tasty served with rice. I added a frozen oriental vegetable mix that I had preboiled a bit before adding.

Wonderful pepper steak...I had a recipe for pepper steak before this one but it had no flavor in my opinion. This recipe has alot of flavor. It tastes like something you would get at a Chinese carry out. I did not have flank steak so I used sirloin instead.

My daughter I make this recipe often. We love it and it is very simple to make. We usually add flour/corn starch to the gravy to thicken it up a bit toward the end of cooking. We usually have to double the recipe because we love the leftovers too!

I was excited to make this after reading the other reviews. However, it was too vinegary and I felt like it was missing something. It did smell delicious when I was cooking it.
