Great appetizers for sporting events, these deep-fried alligator pieces are exotic, but they taste like chicken. You can get frozen alligator meat online. Try them with the optional dipping sauce.

Cinnamon, cloves and allspice are sprinkled over ground pork, mashed potato and onion and simmered in water for about an hour until the flavors are mingled and a thick sauce is created. This tasty filling is spooned into a deep dish pie crust, topped with another crust, and baked until deliciously brown. 

Leek and Meat Fritters

Fragrant and oniony, cooked leeks coalesce with ground lamb or beef, eggs, matzo meal and spices to make delicious fried fritters. Be sure to wash the leeks thoroughly before cooking to remove any garden grit.
