Hands down, a winner! Easy, quick and has a great smoky-salty-sweetness to it. I also added some summer squash - a great filler veggie - to stretch it out a little. Red peppers are pricey right now! This will be a regular in our rotation, for sure.

I fixed this for my husband tonight for dinner. He told me to add this to my "fix this again" list. Very easy and quick. We both loved this.

We love this recipe and are having it tonight for the second time in a month. I use frozen peppers, a large onion, and a pound of Kielbasa to make it for our family of 4. My teeneagers even love it knowing it has all of these veggies in it. I serve it over brown rice with a bit of soy sauce.

This was very good. I used a white onion, green, red, & yellow peppers and a lb of the sausage. The maple syrup did not overpower, and especially when served with white rice & reduced-sodium soy sauce to taste, it was salty-smokey-sweet :) My husband doesn't usually like sweet main courses, but this was added to the "definitely make again" list. Thanks!

This is my son's new favorite. Last night was the second time I've made this in two weeks!! 1st time I used 1 lb of sausage for the three of us and had a little left over--last night I used 2 lbs for five people, two of them kids (4 & 6) and had NO leftovers! The only thing I did different the 2nd time was to use a bag of frozen (thawed) stir-fry veggies and added a little extra bell peper. This is a very yummy, very inexpensive meal--thank you!

This is a very good basic recipe for a yummy twist to polish sausage suppers. I added a clove of fresh garlic which accompanied the sweet flavor of the maple syrup. Cut the vegetables and sausage in same size large chunks and add served over rice with crusty bread. A good and hearty meal.

This is absolutely delicious. I changed the servings to 4 and browned the sausage up a little more than the 3-4 minutes as suggested and then I added the vegetables....we really enjoyed the onion/mushroom mixture with the smokey taste of the sausage and the maple syrup did not overpower. I did find the pepper came on a bit strong though so next time will just cut back a smidge. Thanks for posting this one...I got to pass this recipe on to others who enjoy unique ways of cooking sausage without a lot of ingredients you don't have on hand.

This was a fun change from the norm. The smoky flavor of the sausage combined with the sweetness of the syrup, as well as the spice of the pepper. I didn't have all the ingredients, so I would like to try it again. I did not have onions or green peppers. So the veggies I used were carrots, celery, and broccoli. I also put in .5 tsp. of pepper, because I really wanted to contrast the spicy with the sweet. I used one pound of sausage. I made sure that the sausage was nice and brown before I added any vegetables.
