These are simply awful. There is not enough sugar to match the maple extract, which is extremely stong, and it turns out very bitter. I had to another another full cup of sugar to ameliorate the problem, and by then the whole consistency of the dough had changed, and I had to bake them as cookies which turned out very flourey. I'm sorry but these either need more sugar or less maple flavor.
