I needed a recipe with only one egg as I failed to shop sigh. I would give this 3.5 stars. The base recipe is definitely lacking. I added 1/2 cup sugar, a capful of vanilla and a bit more milk and they were fine. My mom's recipe still wins out but the kids ate them so no complaints here.

I thought these pancakes were okay...I also added a dash of vanilla extract and a tsp of sugar & it seems to be a bit sweeter.

I modify this with sugar to taste vs. maple and love them. I also have tried whole wheat flour and egg whites to make it healthier. Yum!

These were delicious! I added a teaspoon of vanilla to wet ingredients, and after reading comments tht they were not sweet enough, a tablespoon of sugar to dry ingredients. They turned out very light, perfect texture, and with just a hint of sweetness. I dont like my ancakes too sweet because the maple syrup on top then becomes overpowering, so these were perfect. I will definitely make these again!

I've made this recipe several times, with good results. It's one of my favorite pancake recipes, although they could be a little bit fluffier. I didn't have any problems with the taste at all - I thought they tasted pretty much how a pancake should. :-)

I really liked this recipe because it was simple to make. The pancakes turned out really good. I will use this recipe from now on. The only thing i did different was that I didn't put maple syrup in. I dont have real maple syrup, so I just put in a tablespoon of sugar.

My family and I loved this recipe! But I did add an extra 1/4 cup of flour to make it thicker, and boy it was good! I also went a little less on the oil, about 1 2/3 tablespoons. (1 tbs. and 2 tsp.)

I really liked the flavor of these pancakes. However, next time I make them I will add either a bit more flour because they do come out too soft. Also 1 1/2 tsp of baking powder is a bit too much, so i'll go for just 1 tsp. Great idea with maple syrup instead of sugar for pancakes though!

This was an o.k. recipe. I needed a quick recipe since i planned on making pancakes and found i didnt have any mix. Very simple to make but a little more dense than i would of liked. A little syrup on them and they taste like every other pancake out there. Over all o.k., Thanks

I followed the recipe exactly, even checked it twice, but they were very thin and tasteless. My 15 month old son loved them, though!

These pancakes get three stars for how well they formed. They never stuck to the pan, perfect brown and size etc. Taste wise they needed another 2tbspn of sugar and more maple or vanilla extract. They were DENSE. Not light and fluffy at all. Mine weren't too thin and I doubled the recipe for 2 young children and two adults. Texture was a problem due to the denseness. Anyway, add maple syrup and butter and it will be alright.

These pancakes were edible but tasteless. They tasted like plain unsalted rice cakes with a soft texture. They were good with a ton of maple syrup on them, though. Thanks for breakfast, even though it wasn't that great.

Yummy.... I liked the texture and it you really didn't need to add syrup because you could tell that there were hints of the maple syrup in there.
