I liked these rolls, but the dominant flavor seemed to be orange, rather than maple. It could have been because I couldn't find my maple extract so I left it out, but the zest seemed a little overpowering. I only used 1/4 cup of butter in the dough since 1/2 seemed like a lot to me, but I ended up using about 1/4 c on top of the rolled out dough to help the sugar/cinnamon stick. Tasty rolls, but I might omit the orange next time.

I've been making these for a long time. My family requests these often. The oatmeal in the dough seems to keep the cinnamon rolls fresher longer. However, they are so good that they are usually devoured the first day. Happy eating!
