"I make pumpkintinis every fall and the recipe calls for maple liqueur. Well, you'd think that would be easy to find but it has been near impossible! My friend and I found 4 bottles in our state. So I decided to do some research and this is what I found and YUMMY....it's perfecto! Try a little in your coffee or your baked beans, experiment. It is delicious!"

This one is good. I've made honey liqueur like this, using brandy vs rye, and this tastes a lot like mead (honey wine). Brandy would also go nicely with the maple syrup. Warm the maple syrup a bit and it will mix in quicker.
Wow. For so simple, this is really good. I'm betting aging will make it even better! I used Jack Daniel's because I'm broke :)
I just tried this recipe with amber rum instead of whiskey and then added 1 cup cream and wow!!!
