These muffins are very good. The glaze really tops them off. They could stand to be just a little more moist. I might do some tweaking. But overall a great recipe.

I made these to use up some apples, and my husband loved them! I got 18 muffins out of the batch - maybe because I went heavy on the apples? I don't think the glaze has a strong enough maple taste - maybe I'll use more syrup next time. Overall, they're pretty tasty.

Loved these. The maple flavour isn't too sweet -it's subtle and delicious. I made some changes to make these more nutritionally dense: I added 1c grated carrot with the 2c apple, increased the flour to 1.5c, and subbed 1c whole wheat flour for regular. I also subbed canola oil for the butter and threw a handful of dried cranberries with the nuts into the batter. They are still sweet enough that my kids gobble them up, but they pack a heftier nutritional punch. Thanks for sharing the recipe!!

Lovely recipe, substituted 1/3 sugar with brown sugar, and added chopped pecans to the muffin mix, which was a better use of the pecans than placing one on top.

These were wonderful!! I made the muffins in a large muffin pan, instead of a small one, so I had 6 large muffins. It was just enough to fill the 6 cups 3/4 full. The pecan at the top didn't add very much - I would probably skip it next time. The confectioners sugar should also be sifted first. Overall these were a big hit in my house and I would definitely make them again!
