Mango Lemon Sorbet

"You'll love the sunny color and fruity flavor of this light dessert. If you can't find mangoes, substitute fresh peaches. To peal peaches, drop them into boiling water for a few seconds. Then you can easily slip the skins right off. --Test Kitchen"

Ingredients

  • 3 cups chopped peeled mangoes or fresh peaches
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Directions

  1. In a food processor or blender, combine mangoes and water; cover and process until smooth. Add the sugar and lemon juice; cover and process until sugar is dissolved, about 1 minute. freeze in an ice cream freezer according to manufacturer's directions. Transfer to a freezer container; cover and freeze for 1 hour or until firm.
