We love this cake. It replaced German Chocolate as my husbands favorite. Quick, easy, and very tasty.

It's good if you want a regular cake. But I was looking for orange flavor and it was lost in this cake. Even when a bite included an orange slice, there wasn't much orange flavor. Maybe some orange zest or flavoring would help as other reviewers suggested. But as-is, I won't make this one again.

It was very simple to make, had a lot of flavor, and stayed really moist. A new favorite for me!

The recipe from this site Four Egg Yellow Cake (with butter not shortening) was used, I don't care for boxed cake. Orange flavoring was also added to this two layer cake. The frosting and oranges were placed between the layers as well as on top. I actually enjoyed working and eating the frosting. Cool Whip can taste very weird but not in this case.

We really enjoyed this cake! The cake is moist and the frosting is a nice change from the traditional frosting. It's definitely a keeper.

This cake was very good an moist. My daughter requested it for her 18th birthday. It is four people in my house and the cake was gone in two days.I bake cakes for a living.I use the Pilsbury Butter Recipe cake mix.Instead of 1Cup of oil i used 1/2c.and 1/2c.of skim milk.I add 1tbsp.of sugar to batter an 1tsp of orange extract.Baked in 3 9in pans for about 20 min. With frosting i mixed the pineapples and pudding together.then folded in the cool whip.Added vanilla to the frosting.Delicious!!

My older sister got this recipe from her friend back in the early 70s. I have been making it for years. Just to share, I just made it about 2 months ago. Well, I had a brain****, and couldnt remember how much oil went in the cake. So I googled the recipe, and look where it showed up. My favorite website. I thought it was some long lost recipe that only a few people had. How wonderful is that! That I found it and many people can enjoy this awesome cake. Thanks so much for sharing, And I use 3 cake pans instead of the 9x 13.

Okay, DO NOT use an orange cake mix with this! It gives it an awful fake orange taste, like baby Tylenol. Take it from someone who tried! Yuck. I drain my pineapple in a sieve to get a lot of the juice out. It makes the frosting too runny, in my opinion. I also sometimes substitute applesauce for the oil. It makes it taste even better, and it's healthier! Anyway, try this cake! Everyone who's tried it loves it. It will be a hit!

I made this for my mom's birthday cake. I put the cake in the fridge overnight. The cake was cool and very moist! I cut the oil down to half a cup and added a half a cup of applesauce. yum.

Made this recipe for a hot summer picnic and it was a big success. So that the frosting would harden slightly, I kept it in the refrigerator for about 3 hours before taking it. It was cool, moist and very tasty. Great reviews and most importantly, easy to make.
