This is a special beef recipe from my country which is really tasty and there is a special technique which softens the beef until the texture is like chicken. The dried shrimp is an added flavour and modification I made to the original dish. This recipe is easy to make, and will be a hit at family gatherings. Tastes really good for steamed or spiced rice.

Stew meat is dredged in flour, browned in butter, and then simmered in a broth flavored with brown beer, fresh thyme, and bay leaves. This is a traditional dish from the Flemish cuisine, and it is a winter favorite. Best served with French fries and a salad or some green beans.

Cubed beef is simmered in beer with lots of onions. What else is better then that? Served with boiled carrots that you can add right in the pot. The gravy this makes tastes awesome on mashed potatoes!
