I have used this recipe for a long time now and had forgotten to rate it. This is a fantastic recipe and time saver. A must all year around, not just at the holidays.

These are fabulous. I don't think my family will ever settle for ordinary mashed potatoes again! I used redskin potatoes instead of the Yukon Gold and left the skin on (for more color, nutrition, and ease of preparation).

Ok! So I might be an experienced cook but I can and do follow recipe's. With such a high rating review I felt confident that this was a great potatoe dish. Unfortunately only one person liked the potatoes at Thanksgiving. Most said that it seemed like it was to "ranchy". Will try again and use less of "ranch" mix.

This was wonderful!! Definitely a keeper!! Being able to make this the night before Thanksgiving was a huge help! Put some pats of butter on top before baking and it was excellent!

I cheated! I used instant mashed potatoes! They were still wonderful! Took them to my son's pitch in luncheon at school, there were no leftovers.

Excellent - the kids didn't like the skins, so I would consider peeling the potatoes first - I substituted 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp garlic powder instead of the onion salt - everyone loved it!

OH MY GOODNESS - these are the best! They were completely gobbled up at my Thanksgiving party - next time I will make MORE! Everyone complememented them, and making them a couple of days early made everything so much easier! Will definitely be making these again. I added a couple of pats of butter on top when reheating. Wonderful!!!! Thanks Carol.

A big hit at last years Thanksgiving dinner. Plan on making again this year. I did add a little more milk than recipe calls for.

I've made this dish at least 10 times now. Any time I've had left-overs, those are gone by the next night. My fiance and I both HATE onions, so I sub the 2 tbs of onion salt with one tb salt and one tb garlic powder. We love it!!!

These were pretty good...they taste very similar to twice baked potatoes. I was afraid that 8 ounces of sour cream would be too much so I only used 4oz...but I think next time I'll go for the full 8. I will also add some chopped green onions and perhaps some cheddar cheese.

Beyond delicious, these potatoes are a literal taste explosion. Holy cow, they are so creamy and tasty. I used light sour cream. I served with "Old Fashioned Chicken and Noodles" from this website, and the combination of flavors was to-die-for.

I make this all the time. I like to keep a pan in my deep freezer so I can have unexpected company any to time and serve Company style potatoes like I knew that they were coming all along.

I couldn't believe how many compliments I recieved for these mashed potatoes! I used light cream cheese & sour cream, but added dots of butter on top when baking in the oven. It really helped out to make these ahead of time! I'll be using these in the future.

I make this recipe often, especially for monthly family gatherings! My boyfriend who cant get enough of potatoes was a bit skeptical about the ingredients in it as well as the make ahead concept. He was stunned when he tried them , just couldnt believe how good they were. I usually modify my recipes quite a bit but I didnt do anything different w/ this at all! Love it, thanks!
