I followed the recipe exactly, except the topping. I am VERY PICKY about cheesecake since my mother makes them for restaurants and is exceptional! I was HOPING to find a recipe to surprise my mother with my skills, something unique. I LOVE the crust idea, the coconut and pecans ARE AWESOME! I WILL USE THIS CRUST AGAIN. The cheesecake itself was a bit more custard like than I care for. I like it more CREAMY than custard like. 3 eggs sounded like a bit much to me, but I always try the recipe as is before rating it and altering it. My HUSBAND SAID IT WAS GOOD, but JUST good. This is lacking the WOW FACTOR I am looking for. Perhaps not putting the topping on changed something? I didn't care for the looks of the topping and another user also said her topping came out looking like onion dip, those were my thoughts just by looking at the main recipe photo. Perhaps someone else will have more luck with this recipe than I did. Overall, GREAT CRUST, "OK" CHEESECAKE TASTE.

Thank you for this recipe! I needed a passover dessert, and I loved the idea of a cheesecake with a macaroon crust instead of a graham cracker one. Everyone was so happy to actually get a good Passover dessert instead of a normal matzah meal one! This may become a tradition!

A delicious twist - not your same old cheesecake! I used two small springform pans and it was perfect. Each person could have 1/4 cheesecake and it wasn't too much. The flavor was fantastic. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the macaroon topping kind of looks like onion dip (maybe I did something wrong -- I'm putting a photo of my finished results with this recipe)
