Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless beef sirloin steak, 1/2 inch thick, fat trimmed
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 medium green pepper, cut into strips
  • 1 medium red pepper, cut into strips
  • 1 medium onion, sliced (optional)
  • 1 cup lite teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 3 cups hot cooked Minute® White Rice

Directions

  1. Slice steak into thin strips and season with garlic and black pepper.
  2. Cook beef in hot oil. Add peppers and onions, if desired, and cook until crisp tender.
  3. Combine teriyaki sauce and cornstarch and add to beef mixture. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Simmer 2 minutes, or until sauce thickens slightly. Serve over rice.

Footnotes

  • Substitute boneless skinless chicken breast halves for the steak.
