This is the best punch I have ever had! It is SUPERB!!! The only change I made, was that I had to substitute the lemon juice for lime juice b/c I was out of lemon. Either way, it was awesome! I made it for a baby shower & 12 ladies knocked off 2 punch bowls full! Everyone wanted the recipe! Try it!!!

LOVE this recipe!!! Turns out great every time I make it. Also, after a weekend of cocktail making with my friends, we poured in all our leftover alcohol into one of the batches and it tasted great. It was a bit of vodka, melon liqueur, and a bottle of Boone's Wine. Was very very yummy, couldn't taste the alcohol at all cause the punch has such a nice flavour.

I follow the recipe, but I make an "adult" version. In a saucepan, I only use 1 1/2 cups of sugar, 2 cups of water and strawberry jello. Boil as directed. I then add the other ingredients as directed but I add 2 cups of rum and 2 more cups of coconut rum. Freeze for at least 24 hourse. I have never had any proplems with it over freezing; makes the perfect "slush" consistancy. Instead of serving it with the lemon/lime carbonated beverage, I like to serve it with orange juice. Fill your glass 3/4 of the way with the slush and the rest with OJ. Mix and serve. Great on a hot summer day.

Made this for a farewell party with one cup of sugar, not 2 1/2 c. Used gallon Ziploc bags (as suggested) and took them out of the freezer two hours before serving. HUGE success! Thanks!

I made this for a baby shower and have requests for it ever since! I did use 1 cup of Splenda instead of sugar...I think the 2 1/2 cups would have been too sweet. The second time I made it I used Cherry jello instead strawberry due to allergies. Still tasted good, though not as sweet.

I made this for a block party and it was a hit! I only used 1/2 the amount of sugar and it was too sweet for me but the kids loved it.

Big hit and alot easier then I though it would be to make. I read in a magazine once when you freeze punch to put it in a bunt pan. Then when you have one half of the punch out for serving you can add the one from the bunt pan and it keeps it cold while looking interesting. I served this at my sons second birthday party and it was a success with the adults and kids. Thanks for the recipe.

Made this for a baby shower - and it was devoured! Cut back the sugar to 2 cups, used fresh lemon juice and substituted ginger ale. It was great! Took other reviewer's suggestions and used freezer zip locks - taking one out 2 hours beforehand, and leaving one in the fridge. Punch was great, although I think I let the 1st bag defrost too long at room temp, because the slushyness of the 2nd bag coming from the fridge was much better!

Everyone seemed to like this punch. I used only 1 cup sugar as some people recommended and it was still nice and sweet. I took it out of the freezer about 3 hours before serving and tried to break it up but it was still in chunks and not very slushy. But it tasted good!

I made this for my sons 'tropical' birthday party and everyone seemed to love it. Couldn't even tell that it was made with jello. Would love to try different flavors for different colors as well. This punch is easy and nice that you make ahead.

This was so delicious! I made it for our housewarming party and everyone raved about it! This is a great alternative to regular soda, not to mention refreshing on a hot summer day! I did cut back on the amount of sugar, just used half a cup and it's plenty sweet. Besides, with the lemon lime soda, strawberry jello, pineapple and orange juice, I prefer more of a tart punch. 5 stars!

I make this with Splenda, sugar-free jello and Diet Squirt. It's perfect for those who can't have sugar and those of us who are watching our carbs and calories. When I do make it with sugar, I only use 1- 1 1/2 cups, or it's too sweet for our taste. It's become an instant family favorite and gets requested by my kids for their birthdays even. This is a great punch, just allow extra time for freezing. I follow the suggestion of dividing the punch into 2- 1 gallon freezer Ziploc bags that I place on a sheetcake pan in my freezer until frozen. I have never had to wait for the punch to cool before pouring it, by doing it this way. I take 1 bag of punch out of the freezer an hour or so before serving and with it in my punch bowl, I scrape it with a metal spatula to make a consistent slush when the 2 liter is added. I've also sat it in my sink for an hour and let it thaw a bit on its own and/or microwaved it for a minute or so to get it to the consistency I wanted. If you forget to get it out beforehand or have unexpected company, just throw it in the microwave and it'll be ready in no time. This is very good with Gingerale as well. Feel free to change up the jello flavors, I tried Wild Strawberry and Cherry combined for an extra treat. I have made this for over 5 years now (updated 7/18/08) and everyone loves and requests it for all holidays and my Christmas cookie exchange. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would! :)

WOW! My kids helped me make this for my middle daughter's birthday and it was so good. I had people asking me for the recipe. I'm making it for a bridal shower soon. I followed the suggestion of reducing the sugar and I'm glad that I did.
