I followed the recipe, no exceptions, they were great. This may replace the recipe I love that uses all bran. Be sure mix in the flour just until moist to ensure light airy moist muffins.

Seriously great muffins! I followed the recipe except I used All Bran cereal (instead of wheat bran), half cup brown sugar, one and a half cups blueberries. I was very skeptical about using applesauce in place of oil, but you will never miss it. These muffins are moist and delicious. I look forward to tomorrow when I can have another! Yum-O!

These are fantastic! I am always skeptical when it comes to low fat muffins. They always look good but never turn out that way. Not these! I found them delicious. They also freeze well.

I'm always sorry when I am dissappointed in a recipe so well liked by other reviewers. I had a couple of friends over last night for dinner and baking, one thought they were good but chewy, one thought they were 'ok', and I frankly wouldn't make them again. The only substitute I made was 1/2 cup honey for the brown sugar, as previously suggested. Sorry.

I made these twice now, once following the recipe exactly and once with several modifications. My first batch were good, but too sweet for my liking. I used a little less than 1/2 of a cup of brown sugar the second time as well as used all whole wheat flour. The second batch turned out great. I may use even less sugar next time. But, nonetheless great, great recipe! Thank you for sharing.

A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! I loved the fact there was no butter! I did use the 1 1/2 cups of oat bran (couldn't find wheat), plus I increased the vanilla to 1 1/2 teaspoon, and substituted out the brown sugar for 1/4 cup of honey like another reviewer did. Continually trying to watch my weight, I felt only a little guilt indulging in these. I didn't have any wheat flour, so just used white and it was absolutely fine.

Very moist and just the right sweetness. I used only whole wheat flour and 2% milk since I didn't have skim.

awesome awesome awesome!! they taste healthy yet are moist and delicious. great way to start your day with fiber!! i used soy milk, keeping them vegan, used only ww flour and added 2 packets of equal to bump up the sweetness a bit without adding more calories. calorie count came out to aprox 120 cal less than 1 gram of fat and 5 grams of fiber!

This is the first bran muffin I ever made. I used wheat bran and substituted crushed pineapple for the applesauce because I had just opened a can and thought, why not? They were pretty tasty and just the right sweetness, however I found out I am not a big fan of bran. I am trying to get more fiber in my diet, but I don't think this is how I am going to do it. I dont' think I will make them again.

No one call tell it's healthy! I prefer applesauce vs banana, may be b/c the banana was not ripe enough (can't wait for it to have those little black spots). The applesauce is with cinnamon. My co-workers all loved it! Will definitely become a favorite recipe. Thanks for sharing. I think 2/3 cup of brown sugar can be lessen according to taste. I'll update next time when 1/2 cup is used. Update: 1/2 cup brown sugar is good enough. I already did the recipe 3x!

Just like the reviews I read, these really are great muffins that don't taste "healthy." I too, subbed a banana for the applesauce. Thanks for the post!

I thought these muffins were bland. It was nice that they are healthy, but I have made other muffins that were good for me and tasted better.

I was looking for a recipe to use my leftover - getting a little too old for salad - blueberries, and this was perfect! I didn't have wheat bran, but I used FiberOne cereal instead and it worked great. I put a few too many blueberries in, and since they were fresh the muffins became a little hard to handle (also put them in paper wrappers which didn't help), but still delicious!
