This was so delicious! Although i made the mistake of not letting the milk and sugar cool long enough to get to room temperature before i added to lime, so i had to strain out all the lumps and chunks...ew. It didn't look as pretty as it in the picture either. But aside from all of that, it was still really tasty. I will definitely make this again and perfect it next time. THANKS 4 THE RECIPE!

This is wonderful! Folding in the whipped cream makes it light and airy, perfect on a hot afternoon. I will be making this again and will experiment with other flavours. I will reduce the sugar a little as I thought it was bit on the sweet side. *Update* one day later this ice cream was still creamy, not icy.

I used fresh squeezed limes for this recipe and I don't know how huge of a difference that makes from the lime juice you purchase in the cute little lime shaped bottles, but I thought it was excellent. Also, I took it to work to share and it was a huge hit!

I did alter it. I added 2 eggs, used 1 cup milk, 2 cups of cream, 1 cup of sugar, and used the same amount of lime juice they recommended. I then heated milk and sugar with lime peel. Beat eggs and make sure to temper to the milk and add the cream, lime juice and heat until it starts to become custard. Let sit in the fridge overnight and then add it to the ice cream machine. It tastes like key lime pie in ice cream form. Love it. Give it a try.

This was yummy and refreshing on a hot summer day. I added 2 eggs to the milk and cream before cooking for added richness, and it was perfect. Works great in the Cuisinart Ice Cream maker.

This is the first ice cream I ever made. I have a second had '70s style ice cream maker and it worked just fine for this. It was tangy and really good, I might try using half and half cream next time.

This wasn't my favorite ice cream. It was very sour and I could see pieces of lime peel in it. My younger sisters liked it though, otherwise I would have given a lower rating.
