This is a great meal and is wonderful with cornbread. Its simple, and tastes as though I was cooking all day!

I gave this recipe four stars simply because I made some alterations. But I would give this recipe plus my changes five stars for sure! I used a can of chili beans instead of baked beans (it was all I had in the pantry). I also added about 2 tbsp. Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce and onion powder instead of onions. I was spicy and DELICIOUS!

Pretty good stovetop beans. I used precooked bacon a heaping T of minced dried onion so I skipped the frying step. I only added the stated amount of brown sugar but we thought these turned out a little sweet. Hubby thought the extra sweetness was due to the brand of pork n beans we used since some are sweeter than others. Quick and easy!
