The first time I made this I followed the recipe exactly and it was DELICIOUS!! This bread is so moist and soft. We ate the whole loaf in one night. The second I thought I would try to make it a little healthier. I used 1 TBL of raw sugar instead of 1 TBL of brown sugar. I also substituted olive oil for the margarine. I added 2 TBL of ground flaxseed to add some more fiber and used 1/2 c wheat flour with 2 1/2 c all purpose.

Absolutely wonderful! I used Quaker Multigrain instead of regular oats, and safflower oil instead of margarine ... it is fantastic ... caught my S.O. in the kitchen late last night snacking on it! :)

Wow! This was amazing! I live in Denver (high altitude) and dont have a bread machine, so I wasnt sure if it would turn out. I kneaded the dough for 15 min, let it rise for 45 min, punched it, put it in the bread pan and let it rise for another 45 min. I baked it at 325 (convection oven) for 35 min. My kids gobbled it up. I wish I would have made 2 loaves :(

My husband and son loved this bread - afraid I will be making it several times a week now, since the first loaf went in one day!

This is a nice, light bread. I added 1/2 c of ww flour and baked in the oven like other reviewers. I was a bit surprised at the height of the loaf, however; rose incredibly high during the baking process. This is one of those breads that bf loves; light and fluffy.

So few ingredients, and so simple, but a great bread. It tastes great, slices nicely, good consistency. I have made this a few times now, and it is consistently good.

ALL 5 star reviews? I can see why! This is one the BEST bread machine recipes out there! Moist, flavorful, nice crust. I even substituted a cup of whole wheat for the all purpose flour and it just turned out pefect. I made a small loaf of bread and dinner rolls and my husband just loved it. Many THANKS for this wonderful recipe.

This is the first recipe I've tried in the bread machine that wasn't from a mix. It was wonderful! It is a very versitile bread that worked well with both my breakfast and dinner the day I baked it.

Very good bread. I used quick oats and they distributed nicely throughout the dough. Very nice flavor, cuts easily and makes great toast and sandwiches. I added 2 T. vital wheat gluten since I used ap flour and it rose nicely and has a great texture. Definitely a keeper.

When I got my bread machine for mother's day, I began to search the internet for bread recipes, after trying a few ones that turned out to be ok, I came across this one and decided to give it a try, needless to say that it was the perfect one. So far it is our favorite bread recipe.

This bread is so great! This is my absolute favorite recipe for the bread machine... I've made it several times, but in case you were wondering, bread flour doesn't work very well. It made a more dense loaf that didn't rise as well as the ones made with all-purpose flour.
