YUMMY!! Tastes more like a sweet & sour chicken. I did use some of the other reviewers suggestions about lightly browning before putting them in the crock pot. I browned them with some fresh garlic. Going to go stock frozen lemonade in the freezer from now on to make this. My VERY picky kids LOVED it too!

It was good but it seemed there was something missing. I will make it again and possibly add some garlic or other seasoning. We ate it and enjoyed though. Thank you!

Very tasty & easy to make. If sauce is too thin, add a little cornstarch. I will definitely make it again.

use large can of frozen lemonade and double rest of sauce ingredients. Cut chicken into strips, dredge in flour and brown in oil until golden on both sides. Add to sauce and simmer either on stovetop or in crockpot with equally good results!!!!

Pretty good. My sauce didn't thicken like it was supposed to - I have issues with this. But overall pretty good.

The flavor of the sweet/sour sauce becomes more mellow as the chicken cooks - so don't be afraid of the strong lemon taste if you taste before it is cooked in your slow cooker. If you want less sour in the sauce after cooking just add another tablespoon of ketchup or so before thickening the sauce. I cooked as directed the first time, but did chop up the chicken for the kids' benefit. Will probably try cooking on low for 1/2 day the next time. If you are afraid of the chicken picking up too much lemon flavor (we like it ourselves), cook the chicken separately and use the sauce on the side. My husband thought this was a keeper.

I didn't like it much, like the other review said, very sweet and very sour, I cut the chicken into cubes after cooking and served on rice, it calmed it down quite a bit, but not a keeper for me

I have made this recipe plenty of times...I had found the recipe years ago. The recipe I follow calls for you to flour and fry the chicken pieces first. I cut up bnls sknls chicken breasts into chunks, toss them in seasoned flour (salt and pepper should do, maybe garlic powder also) Fry in oil until browned. Place chicken in slow-cooker. Then pour the rest of the ingredients mixed together on the chicken and cook. You'll be very happy with the end result.

This is a great dish! My whole family loved this. If you like sweet and sour chicken you should check the recipe out. Not to sour at all.

Well, it was a hit with my family. Although I made one small change, i shredded the chicken and we had it spooned over rice. The only reason i didn't rate it a full 5 stars was it seemed to be missing a little something. I'm thinking maybe garlic. Don't get me wrong, I would still make it again the way the recipe is, but then I always tinker a little bit after the initial try.

This recipe was not what I was expecting at all. The chicken maybe would have been OK if U rinsed if off.

I tried this recipe tonight, not sure what to expect from the reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. It was delicious. The chicken wasn't too dry and the lemon flavor infused into the chicken. It was a cross between BBQ and sweet & sour. I think next time I will add some bell peppers. Very yummy!
