Original Recipe Yield 1.75 cups
 

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons prepared mustard
  • 1 pinch garlic powder
  • black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water

Directions

  1. Pour broth and lemon juice into a saucepan, and set over high heat. Stir in mustard, garlic powder, and black pepper. Bring to a boil.
  2. In a small bowl, stir together cornstarch and water. Pour into boiling mixture, and stir well. Reduce heat to medium, and simmer until sauce thickens.
