Holy garlic! I was really excited for this recipe - just a few simple, classic ingredients to highlight the fish- but the garlic was the only real flavor we got out of the dish. My suggestion is to either axe it entirely or saute the garlic first, so it isn't so so sharp. I also found that 30 minutes in the oven would have been way too long, I baked mine for 18 minutes and it was perfectly cooked.

I had this just yesterday at my BFF's house, and she's a novice cook. I wasn't a fan of Tilapia until now. The fish was light and flavorful. The lemon was not too overpowering. She seasoned her fish with a little Old Bay Seasoning and Pepper, I like a little more seasoning so I'd add garlic powder and a little salt to mine. Overall this was incredible. She put it in the oven and we took a walk outside and when we got back her place smelled wonderful! We didn't have side dishes, but I think this would pair beautifully with a yummy rissotto and sauteed fresh asparagus. Add a glass of your favorite white wine and voila'! You've got a quick and easy meal that could easily be on the menu at your favorite gourmet restaurant. Bon Appetit!

This was very good, however it tasted like it was missing some additional kind of seasoning. Will make again and test with other complimenting spices.

Far too citrus based for our tastes. Maybe if it was less lemon juice and more butter.

I don't give out 5 stars very often, but this was delicious and so easy! I didn't have fresh lemons, so used reconstituted lemon juice (but can't wait to try it with fresh lemon juice). Also, used garlic salt with parsley in it instead of the garlic powder and parsley.

I cook a lot of fish, and i'm always trying something different with my tilapia. until now that is. i changed it up just a bit by dipping filets in italian style bread crumbs to get a very thing coating before pouring butter mixture on top. take it from a fish lover, this is a good one.

Excellent with adjustments. I followed a lot of reviewers' advice: Preheat oven to 400. Mince up 2 cloves of garlic, squeeze 2-3 tbs of lemon juice, 3-4 tbs of butter melted, and some ritz crackers made into crumbs. A little salt and pepper on the tilapia. Sprinkle on the garlic, then lemon juice, then butter. Finish with the cracker crumbs. Put in oven for about 12 minutes and it's finished. Tastes great and even the kids like it!

Recommendation: bake this with asparagus, it gets even better! Just take raw asparagus, half each one lengthwise, and put them between and around the tilapia in the baking dish- making sure they are at least partially submerged in the sauce. They turn out juicy and delicious, and complement the tilapia well!

So good! I didnt measure my lemon, butter, and garlic, just winged it. Less lemon next time! But it was super good, especially with rice! We made short grain sushi type sticky rice to go with it - it was delicious and perfect! Cant wait to have again!

Hit with the kids and adults. Used Basa fillets instead of tilapia. Baked for approx 18-20 min, and the fillets were quite thick. Used more garlic. Excellent recipe. Can't wait to try it with other fish.

This had a great flavor. I did use more garlic but sauteed it first and used fresh parsley. I baked it at 400 for less time because the Tilapia fillets I had were very small and thin. Awesome, thanks for the recipe.

This is a very simple and good recipe, I wrapped the fish in foil and added bok choy, mushrooms and a couple of cherry tomatoes on top. I change the veggies to what ever I have at the time I cook the fish.

If you really love lemon/garlic fish this was wonderfu. Next time I will use less lemon. A bit too much even using juice of just one lemon for my taste. I did saute butter, lemon, garlic, parsley (and added one fresh chopped tomatoe and a dash of cajun spice). I sprayed baking pan with olive oil, placed the thin filets in pan, poured the saute over and baked uncovered. took 15 minutes only. I was worried it would dry out without foil or something but it was great. My husband loved it. He just mentioned it was a bit too much lemon for his taste. I will make this again and again I am sure

I actually, juiced 2 lemons and marinated the tilapia in the lemon juice for about 1 hour prior to cooking. I did take the advice of other reviewers and saute the butter, lemon, garlic, & parsley together prior to putting on the fish. I also added some lemon zest. I baked 4 filets for 12 minutes and they turned out perfect! My family loved it!!

This was a flavorful and tasty way to fix the same old fish. I had trouble with mine drying out a bit, as the cooking time was longer than i needed. I used all ingredients as stated, and it turned out yummy.
