This is one of my favorite sweets! I'm happy to see the recipe here. It is the same one I've used out of a book with recipe clippings taped in it that belonged to my grandmother. I like to use shortbread cookies for the crust instead of graham crackers. My son likes it better when I use lime instead of lemon, but I kinda like a mix of 2 parts lemon to 1 part lime. The original is MOST excellent too...

The texture was nice but the overall flavor was not what I had hoped for, it was not lemony enough or sweet enough.

These were overall so creamy and delicious but...they need more lemon flavoring..id suggest lemon zest...they lacked a lemony flavor......these bars are really good though

I really love lemon desserts and was really excited to make this. It was fairly easy which is definitely a plus. I would add more lemon taste as other reviewers have mentioned because I love lemony taste but this was a GREAT recipe!!!

This was pretty good, we enjoyed it. Added the zest of one lemon...possibly too much lemon flavor for us actually, was very strong. Would make again, fairly easy to throw together, and cut/set up well.

When I made this I added a little more than lemon juice than what it called for, but I think that it could have used even some more. I expected a tangy lemon taste, but tasted more cream chesse than anything else. I also added more nuts to give it more texture.

These were very easy to make and very yummy. The only change I will make next time is to add a little lemon zest - I like a bit more of lemon flavor - and in these the lemon flavor was subtle. Definitely a great recipe though.
