I tried making these today to take to work tomorrow, but they didn't turn out too well. 20 min was too long to bake the crust, and it burned slightly on the edges. Then I tasted the filling before pouring it into the pan, and it was much too sweet. So I added another Tbsp of lemon juice. Then, after baking for only 20 min, the bars were overdone. I was hoping I could salvage some of them from the middle of the pan, but when I cut them, the crust crumbled and fell apart, and the lemon filling was too thick and sticky. The taste was OK, maybe still a bit sweet, and the bars are edible, but I'm going to have to eat them myself because they're in no condition to be served to anyone else. With some modifications, this recipe could be pretty good, but not so much as it is.
