I personally put them in the oven and spread the "sauce" over the top. They turned out crunchier this way but the flavor was spot on!

Excellent recipes. I steamed my asparagus to keep it a little crunchy and tossed it in the remaining ingredients. Nice flavor!

very good start, but I added lemon pepper and large chunks of tomato while steaming and the tomato and lemon pepper really gave the asparagus a rich flavor.

I cooked this for a shorter cooking time than recommended and used fresh rather dried tarragon, both of which should have been improvements. Our feeling is that this is not the best cooking method for asparagus and tarragon not its best complement.

I have made this recipe several times without alterations and it is always a hit. This last time I added 1 1/2 tsp. of dijon mustard which was also very good.
