Original recipe makes 1 9-inch square pan Change Servings

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9-inch square baking pan.
  2. Whisk 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons flour, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl. Beat brown sugar, butter, and vanilla extract together in a separate large bowl using an electric mixer until creamy; beat in egg.
  3. Gradually beat flour mixture into butter mixture until batter is just combined; fold in candy-coated milk chocolate pieces, peanut butter cups, chocolate-covered crispy peanut butter candy, and milk chocolate bars. Press batter into prepared baking pan.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, 20 to 25 minutes. Cool in pan for 10 minutes on a wire rack.

I think it's more of a cookie bar than a brownie. Delicious! I used Twix. Great recipe!

I thought they tasted really good but next time ill either use less candy or make more dough. You can taste all of the candy inside. I uploaded the picture they came out kinda ugly but tasted great.

Thought I would try this since I have a ton of leftover Halloween candy. Followed the recipe exactly, but doubled it and put in a 9x16 pan. Came out perfectly! I used Reese's pieces, Reese's peanut butter cups, Almond Joys, KitKats, and Hershey bars so there was quite a variety of chocolate and crunch. I still have mega-amounts of candy left so I'm planning to make another pan (or two) and just put in the freezer for unexpected company. Thanks for the great idea!
