INGREDIENTS
2 medium leeks, white portion only, sliced
2 teaspoons olive oil
2 Italian turkey sausage links, casings removed
1 (12 inch) pre-baked Italian bread shell crust
1/2 cup pizza sauce
1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

DIRECTIONS
In a large nonstick skillet, cook the leeks in oil over medium heat for 4-5 minutes or until lightly browned, stirring occasionally. Remove and set aside. Crumble sausage into the same skillet. Cook over medium heat until no longer pink; drain.
Place the crust on an ungreased baking sheet or 12-in. pizza pan. Spread with pizza sauce; top with leeks, sausage, onion and cheese. Bake at 450 degrees F for 10 minutes or until cheese just begins to brown.

I wish I could give 4.5 stars, because this was really, really good, but it was missing something and we still haven't put our finger on it. I used fresh rosemary dough for the crust, and used homemade turkey sausage...yum! This was the perfect thing to make with the leeks I planted never having eaten leeks before. ;)

Such a delicious combination! I used smoked sausage and a refridgerator roll-out pizza dough. It came out peferfectly! Got rave reviews. We will make this again soon!

What a hearty, delicious pizza! We changed it up a little bit by sauteing red bell peppers with the leeks. Also, we didn't have sausage on hand, so we just seasoned some ground turkey and used that. We will definitely make this again.
