Yummy! I will make again. I think next time I will add a few red pepper flakes and maybe a can of diced tomatoes as well. I just like to see my tomatoes. But was fine just the way it is written. The only thing I did do different was not mix my dry toppings with the butter. I mixed the dry toppings together, put them on top of the casserole and then drizzled butter over it. Worked fine that way. I didn't have time to let my sauce simmer for an hour, but was still great.

I didn't have time to simmer the sauce for a whole hour; cooked it for about a 1/2 hour instead, and it was too tomato-ey for me; I think next time I would leave out the tomato paste and add a lot more cheese! Otherwise, it was good.

If my picky 5 and 3yr olds will eat it then its a keeper! However, it wasn't anything spectacular, and I didn't have enough time to simmer the sauce for a full hour so my sauce was a bit too tomatoey and too thick. Take the time to simmer the sauce for an hour or more, and the hubby said it needs more cheese!

Pretty easy and basic. We used Ritz crackers on top instead. Tastes a lot like Lasagna but I prefer the smaller noodles! Hubby loves this dish!

Great recipe with tweaks! By far one of the best macaroni casseroles on this site. Added a medium red pepper, used 4 cloves of garlic, used two cups of uncooked macaroni and little extra of each spice, I also used Marble and fresh Parmesan for the cheese. Taste close to Lasagna. Very easy to prepare but always dishes to do. Was a hit, will make again.

Delicious pasta casserole. We have a lot of different pasta casseroles around here, as they are a favorite of my kids. This one was especially popular, especially the crunchy topping. It also made for great leftovers the next day.

This was okay - not great. I think my family likes the old fashioned Johnny Marzetti that I have made in the past better. JM was just as much work, but much tastier. I did make one substitution. We didn't have any elbow macaroni in the house so I used wide egg noodles. I'm not sure the outcome would've been much different if I'd used macaroni instead. I wouldn't suggest noodles though - unless you undercook them a little.

I am a new bride and I loved the caption on this one, so I thought I would try it. My husband loved it! I will definitely make it again. The only ingredient I didn't have was the tomato paste, so I didn't add it. It didn't seem to affect the recipe. I also used fresh basil. Thanks for sharing!

This is a very good dish. My kids and husband all loved it! The flavor is awesome, and it smells so delicious while baking! Although the recipe looks complex, it went together really pretty easily. I will make this again very soon!
