Original Recipe Yield 4 sandwiches

Ingredients

  • Sandwich Spread:
  • 1/4 cup Hellmann's® or Best Foods® Real Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons steak sauce
  • 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
  •
  • Sandwiches:
  • 2 ribeye or NY strip steaks
  • 1/2 teaspoon Lawry's® Seasoned Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Lawry's® Seasoned Pepper
  • 1 medium red onion, cut into 4 thick slices
  • 2 tablespoons Bertolli ® Classico™ Olive Oil
  • 1/2 cup steak sauce
  • 4 hoagie or sandwich rolls, split and lightly toasted
  • 2 cups shredded Romaine lettuce
  • 1 medium ripe tomato, sliced

Directions

  1. For Sandwich Spread, in small bowl, combine ingredients; set aside.
  2. For Sandwiches, season steak with Lawry's® Seasoned Salt and Lawry's® Seasoned Pepper. Brush onion with Olive Oil. Grill or broil steak and onion, turning once and brushing with steak sauce, until desired doneness. Cover steak loosely with aluminum foil; let stand 10 minutes. Thinly slice steak; set aside and keep warm.
  3. Evenly spread 1/4 cup sandwich spread on bottom of rolls. Top with lettuce, tomato, sliced steak and onion. Drizzle with remaining sauce, then top with remaining rolls.
