I used canned diced tomatoes instead of the tomato soup. It was really, really good. I usually get sick of chili by the time the batch is done, but this one kept me wanting more.

I added one can of regular tomato soup and one can of diced tomatoes w/green chilis. Also added one 4 oz can diced green chilis and a chopped green bell pepper. Came out excellent, but tasted even better the next day!

Yum. I replaced of one can of kidney beans for white beans and cajun spice instead of chili powder. I also didn't have all spice. Still came out great. Second time I made it I added a can of corn and green chilis. Really yummy.. my husband wants me to enter it in the chili cook off at his work.. we'll see how it goes.

This is a great recipe! I made a few modifications: I used 1 can garbanzo beans (chick peas) 1 can red kidney 1 can black beans I forgot the tomato soup so instead I used a 28 oz can of diced tomatoes. My husband loved it!

This came out great! I made a few changes as well. I read the other reviews and substituted one can of diced tomatoes with chile's for one can of soup. I also added frozen corn, and a little bit of chicken broth so it wasn't too thick. Before serving I crunched up some fritos for the bottom and put shredded cheese and sour cream on the top. Yum!!!!

This was a great chili after cooking it. But we started tasting it before we cooked it in the crock pot. It was even more delicious cold. We probably ate a fourth of the bowl with chips before cooking it. Delicious! Next time I'm adding corn and serving cold with chips at our next party.

Too sweet for my taste due to the tomato soup- I even used 1 can soup and 1 can diced tomatoes. Next time I would use 2 cans diced tomatoes and NO SOUP!

This chili is super-easy and always turns out great. Per the advice of other reviewers, I always use 1 can tomato soup and one can diced tomatoes with green chilis. I also add either 1 can tomato sauce or 1 can tomato paste and 1/2 cup water (we like our chili a little soupier). This chili is pretty spicy....but not too hot!

Great recipe! I was out of chili beans, so I substituted 3 cans of pork & beans. I drained and rinsed two of the cans and left the third as is for more liquid. It gave the chili a very slight sweet taste. Worked wonders!

Good solid easy chili recipe. I used canned (undrained) tomatoes instead of soup; and I had no black beans but I used pinto, kidney, and garbanzo. The flavors were great. Might add a bit more liquid next time - but thanks for a great recipe!

This recipe wasn't very good. The soup gave it a strange taste and there were too many beans.

This chili was great! This was my first time making chili and everyone loved it! I listened to the other review and added 1 can of diced tomato's and chili's in place of one can of tomato's. We like spicy in my house so I used all the chili pepper and added some cayenne pepper for more flavor. I added a can of corn for color and a little adobo because I like adobo on everything. It turned out fantastic! My roommates used it for chili dogs and nachos. Big hit. I will definitely make it again.

My first time using a slow cooker, and this was really easy! It's now in heavy rotation on our dinner menu. My husband loves tomatoes, so I add some diced tomatoes.

I just made this recipe tonight, and it was good! I changed some things, though, based on other reviews. *used one can of tomato soup and one can Ro-Tel mild tomatoes with green chilies *instead of 2 Tbsp. chili powder, I used 1 Tbsp plus 2 tsp. chili powder and 1 tsp. chipotle chili powder. (Do NOT substitute chipotle c.p. for regular c.p. in recipes. It's much, much stronger!) DH loved the flavor and the amount of heat, but thought the ratio of meat to beans was uneven; next time I make this I'll stick with just one can of kidney beans and a can of black beans. Overall, very good. I'll try it again!

Excellent! If my husband loves it then it is a winner... He likes his chili thick and chucky. He said it has a nice fresh and light flavor. This will definitely be a repeat dish for us.
