This is a solid 4 star recipe as written. To make it totally terrific, next time I will add additional sauce, both cheeses, and add an egg, parmesan cheese and parsley or italian seasoning to the cottage cheese. I did use hot italian sausage, and will do that again unless I'm making it for kids.

This was delish, I'm eating my leftovers as I type. I cooked it last night but made some changes. The dish obviously isn't the healthiest so I used whole grain pasta instead and I sauteed mushrooms and zucchini beforehand and added them in step 3. I used an 11x7 baking dish, leaving lots of left overs. I liked my pasta bakes a little burnt on top so I put it in broil for 5 minutes at the end.

Was ok. Maybe next time I'll add garlic to the skillet before cooking the meat. Once it was done, it missed the garlic flavoring per my husband. Quick and easy dish though. Served with salad and toasted bread with butter.

Oh, my gosh, this was really, really good. I thought the cottage cheese wouldn't taste right, but it was great. It was a hit with the family, too. This is a great alternative to making actual lasagna, which we love but takes forever to make and store-bought just doesn't cut it. I will add a bit more sauce next time, maybe a can and a half. But other than that, it was perfect as it and super easy. Thank you.
