DOUBLE THE SAUCE! These were good. The meatballs themselves didn't have much flavor but the sauce made up for it. I see no point in using the carrots..it was a waste of of my time to chop them. I made the mistake of buying crushed pineapples after reading a review...never again, the whole ones (which I ended up adding) added so much more color and flavor. I made these for a potluck and threw them in the crockpot, after a while, there wasn't much left for sauce and I had to make another batch of sauce to add to it which worked. Save yourself the trouble and double the sauce initially. There was nothing left to take home.

Great Recipe and very easy to make. Do make sure to double the sauce if you are going to put over rice.

I made these delicious meatballs to bring to my friend's 40th Birthday party. I followed the meatball recipe exactly. For the sauce, I used triple the amount of ingredients (except for the green peppers and pineapple chunks -for that I used the amount called for)and it made the perfect amount of sauce. I made it the night before and put it in a crock pot to heat and serve at the party. People took one or two at first to be polite, but then went back for seconds and thirds. I'm glad I made three-recipes worth!! Three people even asked me for the recipe! This was simply amazing! Thanks for the yummy recipe!

I made these for a Christmas party. They were good, but I think a little to "different" for my guests. Next time I'll just make regular meatballs with red sauce.

Soooooo good! I made it for my husband of 2 months- and he loved it too! I made it with 99% fat free turkey... so it was healthy and really tastey. I actually cut the meatball portion in half, but made the normal sauce- which ended up to be a great portion. We had lots of extra sauce to pour over rice. Thanks!

Delicious, colourful and easy... will try with chicken next time, and will be doubling the sauce -- just not enough for all those meatballs. Also, found the meatballs a little flavourless, so will be adding some more pizzaz the next time... and there WILL be a next time!

These are a wonderful, make ahead meatball to have on hand for company. I don't like chunks of pineapple, so I puree the pineapple in a blender and add it to the sauce. I also skip the carrots and pepper, because I am too lazy to chop it! We like this served with mashed potatoes.

These were fabulous, and very easy, as well as popular with our guests. I'm not a green pepper fan, so we left that out, and it was just fine. Be sure to chop your carrot pretty small.

This was awesome. The seasoning salt isn't necessary. I used 36 frozen "homestyle" meatballs, and it was the perfect number for the amount of sauce. Served over rice, and voila! This is soon to be laminated and placed in my permanent recipe box.
