This turned out really good and the sauce was better than I expected! I used turkey for the meatballs and they were so easy to make. I didn't use green bell peppers and one suggestion on the carrots....maybe it would be better to cook them first before letting it simmer on the stove with everything else because they were still crunchy. I halved the meatball recipe but used the full sauce amount and it was just perfect. My husband and I ate this over white rice and he thought it was yummy.

The sauce was great and very easy to make. I took the advice of others and bought meatballs to avoid the step of making them homemade. I would definitely recommend this. The recipe for the meatballs didn't seem too extraordinary so I figured I wouldn't be missing anything. This also allowed for cutting down the meatballs to around 25 which I felt was a perfect ratio to the sauce. I used a green and yellow pepper and purple onion, but next time I'll use other vegtables like carrot, peapods and celery since my husband does not eat peppers or onions. The best thing about this recipe is that you can really use veggies of your liking and still have a great meal.

Really, really good. I did use my own meatballs, and I had to omit the carrots and peppers because I didn't have time to run out, but the sauce itself was great. Maybe a little thick, I would use less cornstarch next time, but no changes to the flavour. Great recipe, thanks for sharing!

Since I prepare meals for two of us at home AND also for my son's family (he's a Single Dad) I'm always cooking in bulk. This meal (using the recipe exactly as it was submitted, except that I DOUBLE the sauce) has gotten rave reviews from everyone in the family. The recipe has become a "regular" treat that's since been shared with at least a half dozen friends as well. Thanks so much for sharing it.

Very good, but something about it was a little odd to me. I served the meatballs with pasta the first time and rice the second. I liked it much better with rice.

I REALLY liked this recipe. However, my husband did not (he did eat it though!) I used a mix of ground turkey & ham just because that's what I had.

This recipe was wonderful. I have had many requests for a copy of it. It is different from the traditional meatball recipes and has kind of a chinese zing to it. Love it!!!

DOUBLE THE SAUCE! These were good. The meatballs themselves didn't have much flavor but the sauce made up for it. I see no point in using the carrots..it was a waste of of my time to chop them. I made the mistake of buying crushed pineapples after reading a review...never again, the whole ones (which I ended up adding) added so much more color and flavor. I made these for a potluck and threw them in the crockpot, after a while, there wasn't much left for sauce and I had to make another batch of sauce to add to it which worked. Save yourself the trouble and double the sauce initially. There was nothing left to take home.
