quite tasty . . . thickening the sauce at the end is a must, for gravy over the drumsticks. I used the amount of sauce called for, but only three drumsticks. Would have been enough sauce for maybe one more drumstick, but not six, as the recipe suggests. Put your extra gravy over some good rice or potatoes. This is a great way to fix those turkey drumsticks, which need to cook forever, but can be so bland unless you dress them up. Nicely done!

I baked this dish at 350 degrees using three drumsticks in an 8x8 after letting it marinate at room temp for one hour in the sauce. I didnt have canned chilies so I added a roasted red pepper. The sauce helped tenderize the meat, as it was falling off the bone after two hours of baking. My can of enchilada sauce was larger (22 oz) than the recipe called for so I doubled the spices as well. The sauce nearly covered the entire drumstick. I placed dish on cookie sheet and covered it w/foil. Removed foil the last 15 min. of cooking. Smells delish while baking but was a little too hot for my taste!!

This recipe produces moist, flavorful turkey meat. I do believe it's a bit unrealistic to think that you could easily serve this as depicted in the picture. After cooking for less than 8 hours on low, the meat was all in the bottom of my crockpot, not on the bone. No biggie, we ate the meat wrapped in flour tortillas with lettuce, cilantro, tomato, shredded cheese, and sour cream. I used green enchilada sauce which gave the meat awesome flavor. Really tasty. Thanks :)

Well...the turkey was fall off the bone tender and flavorful, and the sauce was silken and tasty. BUT the turkey didn't seem to absorb any of the flavor of the sauce. I suppose you could dip each bite of turkey into the sauce, but as these drumsticks are kind of wet you wouldn't want to eat them with your hands and it just seems like a lot of trouble to pick them apart with a fork and dip. Would have been happier if I'd just roasted my drumsticks.
