This was okay.....a little bland. Followed the recipe almost exact, with the exception of sauteeing the onions with some garlic. It wasn't horrible, but certainly didn't stand out as the tastiest meatloaf we've ever had.

I loved this recipe, and more importantly so did my fiancee who's a very fussy eater. I added half an envelope of French Onion Soup mix.

for anyone that hates meatloaf... try this recipe. It's great. I added some hotsauce and garlic. The kids loved it. I cranked this recipe up a notch and turned it into a cake using mashed potatoes as the "icing". Check out the pics.

This was a great meatloaf, very basic and easily adapted and added to. My husband made it and didn't really measure everything and it turned out great. My toddler ate it up.

This is a great "comfort food" meatloaf. I didn't have a real onion so I used onion soup mix, and I made a few changes in order to "hide" some nutritional elements from my kids. I made bread crumbs from whole wheat toast and I mixed in some carrots that I pulverized into tiny little bits with my slap chop (love that thing!). It turned out great!

This recipe made my meatloaf tighten up and firm for me. Which was sort of a good thing since I cooked this recipe in 2 8" round cake pans. I drained and stacked them on top of each other to create a meat cake for my father's birthday. I didn't use the cheese only because we have picky eaters in my family. I "frosted" with garlic mashed potatoes and barbecue sauce. It was a huge hit taste and novelty wise.

I am giving this recipe 5 stars. I picked out this recipe as my daughters name is Kimberly and I made it for her and my son in law. They said it was the best they had ever tasted. I made a slight change. I used cream of tomato soup instead of the tomato sauce and added a bit of minced garlic. This recipe is a keeper.

I am giving four starts because I didn't think it was great but I changed the recipe according to some reviews. I think it would have been better if I had stuck with the original recipe. I don't think it would be fair to rate the recipe poorly since I changed it. However, one problem I had was that the loaves stuck to the pan really bad. I had to cut the loaves in half so I could get a spatula under them to turn them over without them falling apart. I used tomato sauce as someone suggested, as well as Worcestershire sauce and parmesan cheese. The tomato sauce was the big mistake, I just did not go with the flavor of the meat IMO. I will try this again but will use tomato soup.

I have made meatloaf before, but this is one of the best recipes ive used. I made a few changes and added a few things. I took out the paramsean cheese and the tomato sauce, and I added about a teaspoon of oregano and sage. I also made my own BBQ sauce (store bought is good also) and I put a layer of it on he top of the meatloaf once it was in the pan. This was an amazing recipe and everyone loved it. (Some diced garlic also gives it a good kick).

After reading other reviews I decided to start by adding only 1 cup instead of the entire 1 1/2 C. of bread crumbs. I'm glad I didn't put any more because it definitely would have been too dry. I didn't really care for the flavor but my husband and daugter thought it was good. My daughter didn't even ask for the ketchup which she usually has to have on meatloaf. I personally would rate it a 3 but because they liked it I'm giving it a 4.

I followed the recipe exactly, but when I began to mix everything, I found it way too dry. I had to add one extra egg and 1/3 cup or so of skim milk. Otherwise, the taste was fine. If I try this recipe again, I'll probably use a couple slices of white bread (torn in pieces) in place of the bread crumbs and would probably still add the skim milk for moisture.

It was way too dry. Way too many bread crumbs. I wanted a meatloaf that didn't fall apart but this is ridiculous! It's a solid little sucker. Ha.
