Well - Success! Need I say more.. I've made this twice so far and my picky eater husband ate and ate.. This is a winner in my family book. So easy to make. I used Yukon Gold potatoes and vegetable oil, with onion and minced garlic. I did have a problem with potatoes sticking to the pan, but will use another reviewer's suggestion next time and try a non-stick pan. I also tried another reviewer's suggestion and used frozen peppers which tasted great. Thanks for a wonderful recipe.

THIS RECIPE IS TO DIE FOR !!! I USED A NONSTICK POT TO COOK THESE IN. I THINK THE SECRET TO MAKING THESE POTATOES IS TO COOK AT A PRETTY HIGH HEAT, SO THEY DON'T GET SOGGY-- I ALSO LEFT THE SKINS ON. I ONLY USED THE YELLOW AND RED PEPPERS AND IT CAME OUT PERFECT. THANK'S FOR THIS RECIPE.

I would like to say that I do not think you need to add the vegetable oil. I put the potatoes, Kielbasa and added some onion and covered and there was enough liquid to cook and didn't taste greasy. I also added a little red wine and some fresh basil. It is a perfectly good recipe without the additions but I like to try changes now and then. It is certainly easy and fast and we have had it twice in the past two weeks.

So Easy and yummy, I will definately be making this one again. I did modify slightly due to the ingredients I had on hand, had to use regular potatoes instead of red, and green peppers instead of red and yellow. I also used Healthy Choice turkey kielbasa (I did use the oil called for in the recipe, and didn't think that it was greasy at all) I did add a little crushed red pepper flakes and a half a diced onion as other reviewers suggested, Turned out wonderful!!! Potatoes had a super yummy flavor. My boyfriend gobbled it up! Thanks for the super recipe!!

We really liked this recipe. The only thing I changed is, I used 1 cup of chicken broth instead of the veg oil. Thank you for sharing. rhkatz3

Excellent! I chopped up a half of an onion and added it to the recipe. My kids didn't know what they were eating but they said, "Whatever it is, sure does taste good!"

I'm giving this recipe 4 1/2 stars - it was really good, but not quite "The Best." I did as others suggested and added onion, garlic and red pepper flakes. It was easy and one that I will remake again soon.

recipe looks interesting. Not everybody knows what kielbasa sausage is, so maybe it could be good to explain it(I found it on the Internet afterwards as I searched.)

This got rave reviews! I made it exactly per recipe, with rice pilaf as a side dish. My husband had a brainstorm: mix together the kielbasa meal with the cooked rice pilaf. It added a little something extra to an already delicious recipe!

I made this dish and added 1/2 cup chopped onion. Instead of frying the potatoes in oil, I cooked them in watery ham broth. The result was delicious.

Great recipe. Added a few things and used chicken broth instead of oil. Doubled the recipe. The boys loved it!

This is similar to a meal I've made for years, now. I use light Italian sausage instead of kielbasa. Brown it in a pan. Cut baking potatoes, peppers and red onions into one-inch pieces and put the sausage and veggies in a single layer in a Pyrex dish. Add olive oil, salt & pepper and roast it in the oven for 45 minutes or so. I occasionally add slivers of garlic and/or mushrooms. Really yummy...

I used Emeril's chicken apple sausage instead of kielbasa, and it tasted fabulous. I will take others' advice to add onions next time, and will probably use all four bell pepper colors (I didn't have green in the fridge, but went with yellow, orange & red, anyway). Thank you for all the great suggestions--we didn't use oil, either. Yes,there is plenty from the sausage, alone. The potatoes absord their flavor nicely & cook to a perfect firmness--not too mushy.

I've been making a similar dish for 25 years now, and speed things up even more by using canned sliced new potatoes. I also add quartered onions, and mushrooms the last 5 minutes. Sometimes a splash of red wine if it is handy. This is a go-to meal in my house, eaten at least three times a month.

Just a suggestion to those of you who thought this was too greasy. I ALWAYS simmer my sausage (kielbasa) for at least a good 30 -40 minutes in water and this takes most of the grease away. The stock can be used to make split pea soup or any vegetable soup. Actually I use the stock in cooking my kraut - gives the kraut a bit of a smoky flavor.

This is awesome, I make it with whatever color bell peppers I have on hand, one year we even grew the purple variety! Anyways, the only change I make is the addition of a medium diced onion cooked in with the potatoes. Yummy!

Great recipe! The only thing I did different was I used olive oil instead of vegetable oil. I did sprinkle a little pepper/salt on it after it was done cooking. I made this last night for dinner and it turned out great. My husband and I ate all of it.
