Really good and a great "base" to adjust to your family's tastes. I used turkey kielbasa, a 28 oz can of whole tomatoes. Added italian seasoning, extra basil, salt and pepper. Used Cellentani pasta. Yummo! Had leftover meat/sauce over white rice the next day, hmmmmmmmm.

I too, tried this dish when my husband was dining elsewhere for the evening. I like kielbasa and he doesn't care for it. I used bow tie pasta and red sweet pepper omitting the green pepper. It tasted great! I thought this was a very imaginative invention with putting the butter and cheese on the pasta first, then adding the meat mixture to serve it. It tasted way better than I thought it would. Hubby tried a little when he came home and thought it was ok once but didn't want it in the rotation. That's ok. More for me, and it goes into my file for meals when he is away! Thanks Ann Dee!

I loved this. Very easy. Very fast. Very good. Don't even think of cheating and using non-fresh (refrigerated) pasta; this makes all the difference in the world. Definitely will make this again. :)

This pasta dish is a nice change of pace. I always try to cut calories where I can without altering the taste too much so I didn't use oil when sauteing because the kielbasa has enough fat in it to "oil" the pan without burning. (Would you ever put oil in a frying pan before frying bacon?) I also omitted the butter because I wanted the sauce to stick to my pasta. The other change I made was I added a little white sugar to the tomatoes before pouring in with the meat & veggies. If your like me and prefer sweeter tomato based dishes (chili, spaghetti sauce, etc.) then add some sugar to yours too. Oh yeah, and I also added some garlic powder and onion powder for a stronger flavor. Thanks for the recipe!

Nice and easy. My family really liked it, though next time I will probably used diced tomatoes as some other reviewers did.

Fantastic! And soooo easy. I used diced tomatoes instead of stewed tomatoes and sauteed mushrooms instead of the bell pepper (I hate bell pepper with a flying passion) and threw in a can of tomato sauce to give it a tad more liquid but oh man what a keeper. One tip - if you'd like to cut down the grease, the kielbasa itself gives you enough grease to cook the onions in. You don't really need the oil. Start the kielbasa first and let it cook for a minute or so, then add the onion. It had plenty of grease without being too much.
