I changed this up alittle bit. first off the sauce I used less sugar and added mustard. I used kielbasa lite, black beans, garlic and corn which is a must. Had this over rice and will triple the sauce next time and add a diced tomato. Thank for sharing.

It was very tasty. I halved the brown sugar, but the boyfriend said it needed more. Still a good, quick meal that I will make again.

Very Good, I reduced the brown suga to 1/8 of a cup per others sugestions. I will keep the recipe intact as the author intended next time I make it. I think because of the sugar reduction I missed out on the sweet/sour of the recipe.

This is a good simple recipe "as is", and is easy to change up into a number of different variations. I've added canned corn, stewed tomatoes, and cayenne pepper for some heat. I've never added the brown sugar, and have never missed it. Good in a number of different ways.

I had to make a few changes based on what I had. I used only red peppers and onion powder. I made the sauce exactly as stated but also found it too sweet so I just doubled up on the Worcestershire, steak sauce and vinegar. This is a good quick meal for a busy weeknight and I will most likely make it again but maybe with some other veggies added in.

Our family loves this recipe! Great for an economical, quick meal. I use whatever beans I have on hand and ketchup if there is no steak sauce in 'fridge. Extra veggies are nice touch too, like carrots, or celery.

Ok...so I tried this recipe out and here is what I did...I used red kidney beans instead of white and I eliminated the steak sauce but then used more of the other sauce ingredients (Worcestershire and apple cider vinegar) using the same amount of brown sugar that the recipe calls for. This made a little more sauce while also cutting out some of the intense sweet-flavor that everyone was mentioning. It turned out fabulous! I paired it with Brazilian White Rice, which you can find on this site and the two went together very well!

I LOVED this recipe! I changed a few things though. I decided to forgo the peppers, I added one clove of fresh chopped garlic, and only used 1/8 C of brown sugar because I didn't want it quite so sweet. I used red beans and served it over brown rice with fresh green beans. The sweetness of the sauce was really good with the saltiness of the kielbasa! Next time I'll use more onion & garlic. Great recipe, this one's going in the recipe book!!

Made the recipe as is with the addition on 1 tsp. Chipotle powder. Liked it, was a nice change up from other sausage and beans, but think it needed more "sauce" to be paired with pasta (egg noodles) as we did. I think I will double up the steak sauce and cider vinegar.

It was just okay. My husband said it was "good, but I hate the peppers in this recipe", my kids took some prodding to eat it, and I thought it was just okay. Easy to make, but probably not something I'd make again.

I think I've made this 5-6 times and every time it was a success! I only used 2 tbs brown sugar, no steak sauce and 2 cans of beans. The rest is as per the recipe. Thank you for a wonderful recipe.

This is excellent - both because it is easy and quick to assemble and it is very tasty, too. The only suggestion I have is to simmer about 15 minutes after adding the beans so they absorb some of the sauce's flavor.

Great recipe! I make keilbasa regularly, but never thought to add beans. I used turkey keilbasa and red kidney beans (becuase its what I had) and it was delicious. And my picky little ones ate it too, even the beans!

I was skeptical since I'm not a big bean fan but the combination of sweet and salty and the mild-tasting beans was wonderful. I highly recommend this!

really good!! I did make several changes, but only because I was using what I had on hand. I didn't have red peppers so I doubled up on the green. Used dark red kidney beans and bbq sauce in place of the steak sauce. Also apparently misread directions and used white vinegar instead of cider..turned out wonderfully.
