My family loved this. I added carrots..just seemed like they would go perfectly. They were a delicious addition. I cooked all the veggies crisp tender. I used beans I had on hand (Red kidney and a can of butter beans) Very good. Will be a regular in our house.

We are trying to eat healthy and I had some turkey kielbasa to use up so decided to try this out, this is outstanding! I followed other reviewers and cut the sugar in half and it was plenty sweet. I served it over brown rice with peas. Great healthy tasty meal!!

This is so good and easy enough to whip up after work on a weeknight. I generally leave out the green pepper (just a matter of preference) and serve with pasta or rice to make it stretch.

My husband and I just made this for dinner, and I wish I had read the reviews and reduced the amount of sugar. Super sweet, but still really good. We used 1/2 tspn of balsamic vinegar and added mushrooms in with the onions. Served with garlic mashed potatoes which was a nice balance. Will make again and will definitely reduce the amount of sugar added. Good find though. :)

I love this recipe. Once, I used hickory sauce instead of steak sauce because I had run out. It was good that way too.

This was an excellent base recipe that I modified for what I had on hand. I used chorizo, yellow pepper and red kidney beans, and started with a few chopped potatoes to temper the spice of the sausage. Like others, I used half the brown sugar and I also omitted the steak sauce, since I didn't have it. The result was warm, slightly sweet and spicy comfort food, perfect for winter.

Really good and quick! Used cannelini beans and Heinz 57 steak sauce. Also reduced sugar to 2 T.

This is a colorful meal that covers meat, vegetables and a healthier starch in one skillet. I cut everything up, mixed the sauce and left 5 easy steps for my husband to cook up in 10-15 minutes while I was at an appointment. Followed recipe, except added a smallish zucchini and a little mustard to the sauce. Also added Penzeys Northwoods seasoning for added flavor. Leftovers next day were even better!
