i used the chicken recipe as is with boneless chicken breasts and served my salad on the side. i seasoned my chicken as the recipe states with a home made cajun seasoning blend and let sit in the refrigerator until dinner about 4 hours. i brushed my chicken with a bacon onion bottled ranch dressing placed the seasoned onions on top and then the bbq sauce about half way through cooking. it turned out amazing. a really good way to season chicken and the onions were very good. next time ill try the salad but we needed something more filling last night thank you so much!

Wow - this is one "Kickin' Chicken Salad"! It's so easy to prepare and tastes great! It has a wonderful Cajun spice that provides a nice amount of heat that gets cooled down with a creamy Ranch dressing. I used "Cajun Spice Mix" by Bobbie Jean from this site and left out the additional black pepper. I also used bonless chicken breasts. We grilled these and during the last few minutes of grilled basted with a bit of KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce. We then combined all the salad ingredients and added some sliced cucumber and used croutons instead of potato chips. Overall, very tasty!
