In my head, I always thought that Key Lime Pie would be hard to make, but it's totally not. I had this prepped and baked before my husband finished the bedtime routine w/ baby. I used the bottled Key Lime Juice, and found that my husband prefered 2/3 cup lime juice b/c it was less tart and you could eat more of the pie in one sitting. ;) I didn't bother w/ the lime zest, and it was great. Got lots of compliments and people think you took effort in making a homemade pie from scratch, when it takes close to no time to make. Fantastic!!

So tart, but not too tart for my tastes. I omitted the key lime zest (after juicing 20 limes, I did not feel like zesting). Well worth the effort though. The filling filled a deep dish pie pan just to the top.

This is the first pie I have made (other than pumpkin) and everyone LOVES it! My boyfriend loves it and is begging for another and my grandma (who is my cooking idol) says its her favorite key lime pie ever. Great recipe and so easy!

This was absolutely delicious! I wouldn't change a thing to this recipe. I really don't think it could have turned out any better. My friends and boyfriend just loved it and it was so easy to make. You definitely need 20 Key Limes that gives you just enough juice and 3 cans of sweetened condensed milk will give you 3 cups. Don't change a thing and enjoy it!

Pretty good recipe! I would give this a 5, but the recipe needed some tweaking. First, 3/4 c. of lime juice was WAY overpowering. Also, 3 cups of sweetened condensed milk about made the pie pan overflow - 2 cups is the perfect amount. Overall, a very easy and tasty recipe (once you decrease the lime juice)!

This pie is amazing! I think next time I'll add less key lime juice, as others found it too sour, but I loved it as is!

Great recipe! So easy and so good. Juicing the limes is tedious, but it is worth it. I added just one tiny drop of gree food coloring for the slightest hint of color and I made my own graham cracker crust. Everyone loved it - I will definitely make this pie again!!

Absolutely great! I'm new to cooking and baking, but this was really easy to make and delicious. I used regular limes for this because it's all I could find, but it still tasted good (although I'm definitely going to try it with key limes when I get a chance) Easy 5 stars.

First time ever making a key lime pie and it turned out perfect. I only found regular limes in the store and I bought 15 and only needed about 6. Sooooo good!

So easy! I used 2 (14 oz) cans of sweetened condensed milk, 3/4 cup regular lime juice, and baked it for 13 minutes. I never did see any bubbles form on the surface. Topped it with homemade whipped cream. It had the consistency of a creme brulee (minus the crusty top). YUM! Next time I'll try the lower fat/calorie ingredient options. p.s. I wish I understood the science behind this recipe. It's just so amazing to me that it bakes up nice and firm with only liquid ingredients and no eggs.

Like others here, I'm not a big fan of key lime pie but my Dad sure did enjoy this! Made it for Father's Day and it went over really well. Thanks for sharing this, ANNRICHARDSON!

I am not a lime pie fan, but I truly love this pie. As others did, we juiced 20 key limes in a garlic press and used 2 cans of condensed milk. We skipped the zest for creaminess' sake. We also used a sugar free homemade graham cracker crust. (Just leave the sugar out of a regular graham cracker crust recipe--you won't notice, and if you do, then you eat WAY too much sugar!) Phenomenal! Really! We've been talking about this pie for months! (I know, we need a life, but it is really THAT good!)

I have made this several times with key limes and once by mixing lemon/lime juice in a pinch. Always a hit. The only bad part is juicing all the tiny limes. :)

This was a real hit both times we've served it. I used less of the condensed milk--just 2 cans-- no fat milk and low fat sour cream are fine substitutes. One of our guests had spent time in the Keys and said this was better than the pies he had enjoyed there.
